• Dimensions of slide steps must be chosen to provide slip resistance, tread curvature and performance requirements of the area. 
• Fasteners should be of durable material.
• Ensure that load-bearing capacity must be about 300 pounds without any failure or damage.
• Pool slides should be wet. 
• Make sure that there is no water leaking.

1. Maintenance

Since the slides are usually going to remain exposed to normal outside atmosphere hence, they can easily get discoloured after few years. 

So, you must prefer to use polished kit so that they can be easily maintained clean even if they remain exposed under worse condition.
