Tips on How to control weeds

Weed control takes a lot of time and effort. It must be carried out regularly. Otherwise, the beds will quickly overgrow. Solanaceous crops are particularly affected.

To reduce the number of weeds in the country without weeding, you can resort to these preventive measures:

  • mowing weeds around the perimeter of the site, preventing them from tying seeds;
  • put grass in compost only until it blooms;
  • do not use fresh manure for feeding.

If the weeds in the plantings of nightshades are already rampant, you should immediately begin to fight them. Lets look at some tips on how to fight weeds like the local company.

There are several ways to get rid of the hated weeds:

  1. Traditional. Weeding is carried out using a shovel, pitchfork, shovel, and root remover. Mechanical removal is labor-intensive, but useful if weeds are dug out by the roots. Otherwise, they will again appear from the ground.
  2. Biological. Knowledge of the characteristics of growth and development allows you to weaken the weeds and gradually remove them. The method takes a long time. Plants are covered with an opaque, dense material that prevents sun and moisture from reaching the grass. You can use organic mulch as a cover.
  3. Alternative. Get rid of weeds with fire, weed depletion, dense planting, etc. The methods are useful only in combination with traditional weeding since they do not guarantee the result.
  4. Chemical. With the use of special preparations – herbicides – the beds with tomatoes, potatoes, or eggplants are treated. Thanks to the particular substances in their composition, the growth of weeds stop, they die within two weeks. Planting nightshades do not suffer. Experts like guardian pest control can help you with this.

Solanaceous plants can be processed using:

  • Showjumping is a selective preparation that destroys cereals and broad-leaved weeds in nightshade plantings;
  • Mistral is an effective soil herbicide that copes with dicotyledonous and cereal plants;
  • Panther is a highly selective post-emergence preparation for the control of annual and perennial weeds;
  • Dual Gold is a soil herbicide that destroys annual grains and dicotyledonous plants;
  • Fusilad Forte is a selective systemic drug that suppresses both yearly and perennial cereal weeds;
  • Parmaklin Liquid is an effective herbicide against several weed crops in potato and tomato plantings;
  • Amulet is a highly effective anti-grain herbicide that acts at different temperatures;
  • Osotin is a broad-spectrum herbicide for cleaning cultivated plantings;
  • Haruma is a selective post-emergence drug that eliminates cereal weeds in nightshade plantings;
  • Double Tri is an effective, highly active drug against dicotyledonous and annual cereals.
