7 ideas to renovate your kitchen cabinets.

Tired of seeing the same cupboard in the kitchen every day? Upgrade the decor, using everything from good old paint to wallpapers!

There are several reasons why we want to redesign our homes. Especially the kitchen renovation, an environment so related to meetings of family and friends and cozy meals! Not satisfied with your offices. Transform them easily with these tips, returning the essence and beauty to the environment:

1. Use paint!

There is no better way to renovate an environment than with a brush and a good can of paint. A dark kitchen renovation, for example, can appear to be completely lit when gaining white cabinets. If white is too basic for your style, you can experiment with the trends: how about painting inside a drawer or niche , or making a two-color scheme?

2. With blackboard and function

Whether with wallpaper and chalkboard paint, adding this element to the whole thing changes everything: with a piece of chalk, you can do everything from shopping lists, to writing your favorite recipe or leaving messages for family and friends.

3. Contact role

Those who entered the article looking for tips on how to use wallpaper did not imagine that it was also possible to use contact paper, did they not? The top of the cabinets in the photo, previously in blue laminate, was covered with adhesive paper with a granite pattern.

The trick is not resistant, since the area is of great friction and humidity. However, if you can’t stand to see the old bench anymore and want immediate change, it’s worth a try!

  1. Wallpaper

The wallpaper brings not only color, but a pattern and relaxation for the décor. It can be applied to the bottom of glass cabinets or to cabinet doors. In the photo, the same wallpaper from the dining room was replicated in part of the cabinets.

  1. With fabric and thumbtacks

It is hard to imagine that a simple office pin could make all the difference, but it is true. In addition to the common uses, it can fix fabrics inside the cabinets! A good temporary alternative to embellish the furniture with glass doors and to be able to change the pattern whenever you want.

Before you start, remove the dishes and also the shelves. Measure the bottom of the cabinet and cut the fabric, without leftovers. Finally, just line it up with the cabinet and nail four tacks, one in each corner.

  1. Worn out

What do you want is not to renovate the cabinets, but to give them a more rustic look? It’s simple! First, remove the handles. Then sand them to remove the varnish. Be careful, the mess and dust will be plentiful.

If you want, you can sand a lot to make them look like used. Then, apply a wooden aging liquid, such as Valspar Antiquing Glaze or bitumen, found in craft stores. Allow it to dry, then use a damp cloth to wipe off the excess. Add two coats of sealant to finish.

  1. Replacing

Sometimes, just removing a few drawers is enough to transform the entire composition. Remove two large drawers, paint the inside the same color as the cabinets and put wooden boxes in place! Ideal for storing from food to cleaning supplies.
